Empowering the collective throughout the full spectrum of birthing, reproductive, and end-of-life experiences.

Full spectrum birth work for all!

Juniper (they/them) presents holistic, full-spectrum doula care and childbirth education to all birthing people during reproductive, birthing, life and parenting journeys.

As a full-spectrum doula, my scope of practice includes menstruation, (in)fertility, pregnancy loss, abortion, birth & labor, postpartum, and end-of-life (death) care.

I use evidence-based education, judgment-free active listening, mindfulness, community building, personalized support, and intuition to support folks along the reproductive and parenting spectrum.

Doula work is ancestral and communal - meaning the care provided allows us to be supported and to show up authentically in our communities. My practice roots itself in love and learning.

Juniper's care practices:

  • Cultural competency: effectively and respectfully providing care to folks of different living experiences, cultures, and beliefs. Along with continuing my education, this involves understanding, respecting, and valuing the cultural beliefs, practices, traditions, and preferences of the individuals and families I serve

  • Prioritizing bodily autonomy & informed consent: respecting and supporting the right to make decisions about our own bodies and healthcare

  • Access-centered: removing barriers that might prevent someone from receiving doula support and centering the access needs of Disabled people and families

  • Trauma-informed: acknowledging the potential for trauma in an individual's past and aims to create a safe and supportive environment that minimizes triggers and retraumatization

  • Prioritizing accountability and boundaries: maintaining clear boundaries with my clients and holding us all accountable for our actions and decisions; this practice ensures a professional and ethical relationship dynamics

  • Community care: recognizing the importance of collective support systems while creating networks of support and solidarity within the communities I serve

  • Harm reductive: taking steps to minimize harm and risks during the childbirth process; taking the initiative towards reducing harm in our communities and educating folks about their choices, alternatives, and resources available to them

  • Sexually liberating: promoting sexual agency, freedom, and empowerment while working to reduce stigma around sexuality, providing information and support that aligns with the individual's sexual health and choices.

  • Following the reproductive justice model: see below!
